No, They rant and rave about the evils of
homosexuality, they claim that 9/11/01 was a result of god lifting his
protective veil around the United States for our evils...
People like this (NYTimes link, reg req'd) support him.
I don't want my faith legislated, and the current president is willing to do
so.
Folks, Homosexuality isn't 'going away' anytime soon. I fail to understand how killing them off because they're gay, lesbian or whatever is going to do anything. I really just don't get the whole thing of most folks violently opposed to it.
How can banning a homosexual legal union save a family? There are millions of examples every day where a classic 'man and wife' marriage that we're 'defending' from the evils of homosexuality kill children. Yet you don't see a our current president standing up and wanting to put forth a constitutional amendment to fight that. You don't see these assholes or this fuckwad standing up in their defense. Not to mention that the current president took a stand on stem cell research based on his faith, and catering to the religious right.
If the Republican party would stand what it original stood for. Small Government, Less Taxes, Less invasion into your private life I'd be rallying behind them voting republican every step of the way. But since they cater to the American Taliban of the religious communities, I'll vote against him, and any other (R) candidate until something changes.
