Where the hell have I been?

So I now have a 20th level Warlock named Alexianne who is a living dead girl (cue Rob Zombie song of same name) and Thanksgiving weekend I probably played about 40 hours over the holiday.

Well, you might notice that after the 'happy turkey day' post nothing has changed for some time.

Well that's because this little thing came in the mail the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and my new obsession has started.

World of Warcraft. This has to be the best Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) ever made.

If you've followed my blogs at all I've played a few games over the years like Dark Age of Camelot and Star Wars Galaxies.

They pale in comparison. The grinding for that critical 'next level' of killing the same group of monsters over and over and over and over and... well you get the idea. While you *can* do it there is an integrated at your speed based quest system that rewards each step of the way with chunks of XP, money, and items.

It's great.

So I now have a 20th level Warlock named Alexianne who is a living dead girl (cue Rob Zombie song of same name) and Thanksgiving weekend I probably played about 40 hours over the holiday. I tried a few other characters before settling on the Warlock but boy this game looks good.

Now this may sound like an over zealous fan but Blizzard has made a fan for life with me for one simple reason. They have coexisted a Macintosh and PC Client on the same servers.

Let me repeat that. The.Same.Servers. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to play with my brother because in the pass the Mac community gets a one server 'short bus' where the 6 to 10 people who play MMORPG games on a Mac can congregate. The other 5000 to 10000 players get tons o servers to choose from and can interact.

So Matt and I can now play side by side. Me on my iMac G5 and him on the PC I help him find parts for and build.

Very, Very cool.
