I Don't Get it.

In fact I'd like to have a big ol' 'you wanna come work in the US, you sign up' form because there sure are a lot of payroll taxes not being collected under the table, and yet they can file for unemployment, etc. I remember a 20/20 show years ago that showed how they'd come across the Mexico/Texas line, open a PO box, and file for all sorts of benefits.

I was thumbing through the paper online and found this article. There apparently was a picture of inside of a school that had a Mexican flag next to the United States flag. Apparently this area of Denver has a rather high hispanic population.

One thing I really don't understand about the hispanic community is that they risk all sorts of things to get into the United States because apparently life sucks so much in Mexico, or there is more money to be made here, or something. But once they get here they refuse to become apart of the country that is apparently so much better. They want to speak their language, make the united states change to their language and fly their flags on the front of their cars, on their homes, or wherever.

If you want to fly another countries flag, why not do it in that country? Why do they come here and do it?

I'm all for immigration, sometime in the early 1800s that's how some of my family got here from Germany. But we're not flying German or Irish flags on our cars, on the front of our homes. We're not wanting to speak German (even though my wife could at one point).

It's been a number of years since that episode aired and maybe someone took care of that little loophole but still if they want to take advantage of our countries programs, they should be paying into them when they get money that they send back to Mexico for their families.

One of the few things President Bush tried to do that I actually liked. I had a big problem with the people saying 'hey no they take our jobs'. Bullshit. Our homes are built by immigrants, and you don't see white boys sitting on the poverty line going 'I can't work' The white boy only wants to be the boss, not the worker. The immigrant is perfectly willing to work for their money, so we should be able to tax it just like we do every other income in the United States.
