Talks between Tech, Consumer and RIAA Break down over the INDUCE act.


Of course now one has to wonder if money from the RIAA is going to talk during an election year or if they will come to their senses and stop this ridiculous bill from moving forward in its current iteration.

After only four days of discussion the talks between the RIAA, Technology Groups, and Consumer Groups have broken down over the re-wording of the INDUCE act so that it is more targeted toward the exact acts that the RIAA is running scared from.

"We find ourselves further apart now than at the outset of this process," reported representatives of the CEA, IEEE-USA and NetCoalition in a letter to Senators Hatch and Leahy on Wednesday. They urged the committee to "Not move forward now" with the bill.
