Well Color Me Wrong

This isn't sour grapes talking, I mean I did just pick up a 40GB click-wheel a few months ago and I've yet to fill it with music (not for a lack of trying).

A few weeks ago I commented on the rumor that Apple would be releasing a PhotoPod.

I really didn't ilke the idea then, and I don't like it now. But Apple released one anyway. They also released a special edition U2 iPod with all the U2 catalog including their new album on it.

While a color screen is always nice to have, I am more concerned with the fact that only iTunes syncs it up. As a mac user I would have loved to seen an iPhoto sync instead of relying on iTunes to do it. This just ads complexity to iTunes for something it isn't focused on.

This isn't sour grapes talking, I mean I did just pick up a 40GB click-wheel a few months ago and I've yet to fill it with music (not for a lack of trying). I have used it as a photo storage unit while on vacation and it worked fairly well as a one shot backup of my 1GB Microdrive. The battery was about gone at the end of the hour long copy but it worked.

I hope I'm wrong and the photopod opens up a whole new market for apple. But to me it's like carrying around a slide projector and forcing your friends and family to drone through boring pictures, just like you did in the 70s.
