Hammock Swing Fixed


They're not sure why he did this, but he just stuck a hook into the wood and hung up the hammock - that is guaranteed to support up to 350 pounds so it was not my fat butt that damaged it.

Well Woodplay was out and they fixed the Hammock swing. It always brings confidence to a person when the different person comes out, looks at it and goes 'why on earth did he do that, he's not supposed to do that'

They're not sure why he did this, but he just stuck a hook into the wood and hung up the hammock - that is guaranteed to support up to 350 pounds so it was not my fat butt that damaged it.

It was supposed to be suspended on a chain anchored to the same points you would mount a regular swing too. These are long bolts going completely through the wood with a metal plate between them on the top and then some big nuts are tightened down onto them. Basically you'd have to be a gargantuan monster of a person, or be doing something you shouldn't be doing in the hammock ;)

Anyway, it's all back up and good to go. It was pouring rain when I got home from New York so they weren't outside and I didn't get to test it out.

Just finished watching Season 3 of Babylon 5 on DVD. God I miss that show. I've watched seasons 1, 2 and 3 over the last few weeks now. Amazing how when there is nothing good on TV you go find something that was good on TV.
