Calvin Joseph Boucher
Surprise Surprise, we welcomed Calvin Joseph
Boucher into the world today.
After my last blog entry they decided that Angi
needed to be induced about two hours after I made that entry. Of course I'd
already packed up and headed home with Becca to let Angi get some rest and me
give Becca a bath.I've got Becca in
the tub, playing with her dolphin, ducks and Walrus while I am looking for some
clean pajamas when Angi calls and informs me that they're all booked up for
inductions and they've decided to do it
now.So of course, in hospital speak
that means 'they plugged me into an IV and my contractions have already started,
who cares if Dad isn't here or not'. I call my Aunt Katie and she heads over
from Bahama (For the non-North Carolinians it is bah-hey-ma) and after she got
there I headed back to the
hospital.Angi was already enjoying the
contractions when I got there. We managed to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding
and the first 30 - 40 min of Fellowship of the Rings before things started.
She progressed extremely fast and he was born at 1:15AM. only about 3 hours
after labor was induced. He was 7 lbs
1.6 oz but they wrote it down as 7 lbs 2 oz.
Pictures are up at our fotki
site and are being put up now so they should be up and running slowly
but surely.
