Rough Day

It's been a rough day for the little ones today.

Things started out quite well today. Usual visits with Angi's family, etc.

We put Becca down for a nap roughly around 2PM PST. I went into check on her at about 4PM and she rolled over and looked up at me, so I thought she was good to get up.

She proceeded to cling to me for about the next 30 - 45 minutes. While I enjoy it when she wants to cuddle all her energy and enthusiasm of the last few days was completely gone and I was a bit worried, but she started to perk up a bit as we headed out for dinner with Angi's sister.

I should have known something was wrong when she was out cold sleeping after the 20 min drive to dinner. Inside she began to fuss and whine which is totally out of character for her. Finally Angi decided she needed to get a diaper change and discovered she had bad diarrhea. Her little bottom was quite red and we could see why her temperament had changed.

We decided that either two things were causing this, the well water at her Grandma's or her back molars are coming in. So we headed to Wal-Mart and picked up some pedialyte and more diaper cream. I also grabbed a Rolly Poly Olie, Elmo, and Bear DVD since she's not had any shows. We got some bottled water as well, and some chocolate milk.

She drained the chocolate milk in the car before we got about 5 blocks. We refilled it and she didn't drink much more and fell asleep back on the way home.

We then got back to her Grandma's and took her out of the car. I put in Olie DVD and she was quite excited and peppy while watching it.

After about 45 min she suddenly stood up, froze, and started shivering and crying. I knew she was having a spell and got Angi to help take care of her. Felt kinda helpless watching her in pain like that knowing what that can feel like when the raw acid tears up your butt like that.

This proceeded a few more times with lessening intensity through the Olie DVD and through the Elmo DVD. We finally laid her down after Elmo was over and she crashed hard quickly. We'll see how we do through the night.
