Been very busy. Some updates.

I installed the vampire tap pierce saddle valve last night but had some problems getting it hooked in. After some handy dandy tech support I managed to get it running this evening and have some water going.

Well, let's see where do I start.

Saturday morning we got up and decided to go look at a Chrysler Pacifica. We'd gotten kicked around a bit over at the Volvo dealership when we went to look for the XC90 and basically given the finger. I personally believe it was because I attempted to use our discount program I get with IBM and so they figured they'd fuck us on the trade in.

So, we checked out the Pacifica which ended up being quite the little vehicle even though it's like a cross of a Minivan, Station Wagon, and a Car. They call it a sport touring vehicle. Angi seemed to like it a lot so I asked them to make me a deal.

And they did.

They found one with most of the features I'd accept, gave us a fair (but below what we owed) price on the allroad and feeling like a traitor to Audi I bought one. We picked it up on Monday. It's a 'Butane Blue' which is a really light blue. It has the HID headlights, 5.1 surround sound, 7" DVD screen in the back with wireless headphones, 6 disc DVD/CD Changer & a single disk changer for when the kids are watching movies. Leather interior (Taupe color). In dash moving map navigation (that is missing our neighborhood & most of I-540) and now about 120 miles on it.

Angi then headed out to her mom's with the kids in tow. Originally she'd planned on driving the whole freaking way but after checking out mapquest the day before she was to leave I said hell no. I flew her to Nashville, which left her with four hours to drive but there was no way I was going to let her drive 13 hours with the kids in the car. Plus I wasn't real keen on putting 1500 miles on the brand new car.

So I've got the place to myself. I went to Philadelphia for work on Tuesday and then Washington DC tomorrow morning.

The fish tank is doing OK. I changed some water yesterday but due to the cold I wasn't running new water with the filter. I installed the vampire tap pierce saddle valve last night but had some problems getting it hooked in. After some handy dandy tech support I managed to get it running this evening and have some water going. I'm going to put a bucket in the sink and fire it up all night, and then leave one running while I'm gone in the sink as well. That way I can change the water when I get home Thursday night. Hopefully not too much ammonia will build up and kill things off. Really sucks but gotta do what I gotta do.
