Denver was nice. As we landed, it started raining. First rain they'd seen in a while judging by the large sucking noises coming from the ground as we drove out of the airport.
I really like the Denver area. Remarked to the boss that I'd like move into Colorado area. Colorado Springs or Boulder appeal to me more than Denver based on the cost of living around here. Pretty outrageous. Probably never happen, but it'd be cool to live closer to such nice territory. Very pleasent days compared to the high humidity. Plus it was safe after the lizard war...oh, wait, that was a book I was reading :)

OK. Stuck in a hotel room tonight. Was supposed to be out partying down Bourbon St. here in New Orleanse but my friend and coworker hurt his back so he went home earlier in the day. Not much of a single partier myself, and being married you can't exactly go out looking for people to do things with when you're just in town once for the last two years.
This year's government elections have me concerned. I'm wondering what has happened to the voting public. Have enough people just given up to let the extreme yahoo's run the show? The midwest votes for psychotic, fundamentalist yahoos that want to turn our government into a theocracy, and then we've got the morons on the coasts that turn the world into a 'white man is evil and must pay us back for fucking us all over' crap.
Reperations? I need ot pay someone reperations because someone had a slave and lived in the US? My family didn't even live here in the United States back when slavery existed, they didn't show up until AFTER the civil war, like 1890s. Both sides of the family, came from europe with no slaves, hell they couldn't afford them, they barely got here.
So now, in 2002, I'm supposed to fork over money (via my taxes) because of my skin tone? Great. What's next, need to give my wife's diamond rings to the indians to pay for Manhattan Island?

Wow. Things got buys. Fast.
Next thing I know, I'm 31 years old, and it's over 10 days since I've posted anything here. not that anyone cares, or anyone reads this anyways.
I've been to Houston, Austin, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, and now New Orleans. I head to Denver on Wednesday, and then Kansas City/Dallas and I'm done traveling for a bit. Maybe to Little Rock sometime in September. Don't know of any reason not to.
Hopefully this makes things better for me. We'll see. I think a lot of people are very pleased with the results.
