crappy morning. Wife didn't tell me she used the last of my creamer and there is none in the house. it's 18 degrees out and foggy and I'll have to take a shower just to go get some. not exactly the way I wanted to start my saturday.

I have a Level 12 Enchanter on the Guenivere server now. Been playing off and on in the evenings. This is much more fun than everquest. better graphics and all. might play this more often. restarted my account on Ultima Online. That one still frustrates me, probably going to turn my guy back off. Very annoying. I just can't figure it out.
Not much else going on these days. It's the weekend. yeee

Got some new games. MOHAA Spearhead is absolutely awesome. The graphics have improved about 25% over the previous release and the game play is amazing. The abilitiy to commandeer an AA gun and shot it at the guys advancing on you was hilarious. The nice touch of mowing down trees was really cool too.
Dark Age of Camelot has some promise. Looks like EQ on Steroids with a tonne of graphical improvements. The spell casting I did with just two spells was very cool compared to the EQ looking rather booring. I'm Ledorama on the Thoulles-Paxalle server. Lvl 17 Rogue. Been playing now for about a month. Figured school was gone so I had some spare time again. It's been relaxing playing games again, though the danger of upgrading has been lurking in the back of my mind. That 'you need a new vid card' has been poking me. But I've resisted.
Mainly because I don't want another PC. I want a Power Macintosh system. I really really dig Mac OS X and consider myself converted. It's unix fundamental core has me really likeing what I see, and i've managed to figure out most things I was used too except the game market. I'm really a bit set off by the lack of cool games from the Macintosh publishers, and unfortunately most of them are ports that are few months, if not a year or two behind it seems like. Blizzard won big points for having dual personality CDs. I discovered my copies of Warcraft III and Diablo II run on my Macintosh systems and will install. I've not tried them out on the iMac yet to see how the 800Mhz PPC and the GeForce2FX handle things. This is because it's Angi's machine and she'd get rather annoyed at me for doing something like that. i play enough games on other devices in the house she gets possesive when I try things out on her computer.
I'd also like the 23 " LCD on my new powermac while I'm dreaming. So I need to hold out for a while. The monitor is more expensive than the machine, and apples are expensive as it is. Maybe next spring.
But I want a fishtank first.

Well, on Dec 17th I have to have my tonsils taken out and have a 'Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty' or a 'UP3' as the nurse was so quick to shorten it too.
From what I was told, they're going to cut off the lower part of my pallatte. My favorite part of this handy dandy brochure they gave me under the PAIN column is:
Pain in the throat and ears is quite severe after a tonsillectomy and UPPP. the pain will last up to 7 to 14 days and worsening pain is not unusual between days 4-8.
Lovely. I'm pumped already. So, December 21st through the 25th, i should hurt even MORE. No turkey dinner for me it looks like.
They go on to mention there is a nerve that controls my ear pain reflex right next to the ol' tonsils. They say 'ear pain is normal' in all bold. So, not only will I nto be able to swallow my own spit without screaming violently, my ears will be in pain all the time too.
Whoo hoo, don't know why I didn't do this sooner.
But, on the bright side, I'm supposed to be able to not snore as much and not stop breathing so much at night.
