The thoughts that float through my head when I remember to jot them down. An insight into the madness that is me.

Looks like at least another week before we find out what the hell they are thinking. By the end of next week before they decide what they're going to do.

Sigh. Tried to talk to them today. Was told to call at 5PM EST and he was stuck on a conference call, 5:30PM EST was still on the call and said he'd call me in the morning.
Hope it works out. I'm taking this delay as a good sign.

Sigh, still no word. The person I was talking with VM is still saying out of the office on Friday, returning on Monday. Hope nothing bad happened.

My little rant about airline security or lack therof. I prefer to call it traveler harassment. There is no intelligence, standards, or anything when it comes to security. I travel a ton every week and I go through airports with the exact same items and get varying results.
For example. I fly from Kansas City to Tulsa on Thursday last week. I take laptop out, put ring/wallet in bag, walk through detector and no problem.
I get to Tulsa, do my thing. Only thing I do is lunch. Get to Tulsa airport, no one in line, all by myself. Do the same thing, pockets empty, no keys no coins, ring and wallet in bag.
Ok First, I have to dig wallet back out to show my ID to guard (#1), and my boarding pass. Ok, no biggie. I walk about three feet forward (again, only person in line) and get stopped again to show boarding pass. Give pass, and then start to lay bag on the line only to get asked AGAIN FOR MY @#$&*(()@ boarding pass and ID. Shit people. Watch what your co workers do.
Of course, I have this theory about metal detectors. No one knows how they work, or how they are set, and someone has a remote button to fire the things off when they feel like harassing someone. I walk through detector. After I am fully through it goes off, and I get searched.
Wonder where the hell the metal appeared in the body while in Tulsa. Didn't know their water was that bad.
I then can go to Denver, Dallas, the airports where millions more people are going through the airports and they barely blink at you. the most i've had happen in dallas was a bag getting that wand rubbed on it thing, which is more random that most of the stuff that happens.
It just seems like it won't stop anyone. And lots of news agencies have proven it. And if I see one more 4 year old white kid getting wanded and frisked down I'm gonna scream. This is the United States people. Guilty until proven innocent. I should be able to submit for one background check and then not get harassed at every fricken airport in the US. I fly about 45 - 60 filghts per year. This is ridiculous.
Of course, I get to go through it again next week.
Columbia -> STL - > Raleigh -> STL - >KC. Gone all week
