Rumor Community Abuzz with MWSF Anticipation

Things are really heating up in the Apple rumor community for all sorts of devices. We'll see if I can manage a roundup of them here.
First, and the most obvious to me is a re-tooling of iLife for a 2005 version. ThinkSecret.com has the details.
    iLife 05
  • iDVD 5 - Including DV to DVD direct copy, support for dual layer media
  • iMovie 5 - Including new HD support, as well as 16:9 support
  • GarageBand - Updates and major attention including the rumored Asteroid product that has people being sued right now.

MacRumors has more details vetting out the various products and mentions that iPhoto will get an update with no detail as to what will be new.

Next big bomb is that ThinkSecret is reporting that a sub-$600 iMac will debut that is headless.

Last but not least the long rumored update to Appleworks, iWork should arrive as well. Along with a new Jam Pack for symphonic instruments that would require the above mentioned Garageband 2.0 to function.

On the iPod front there have been rumors about a drive update in the iPod mini to 5GB, and a new smaller, lower capacity flash based iPod.

Of these new gems I'll readily update to iLife '05. iWork would remain to be seen as I don't find myself needing said function at home. You never know, if the price is right though I'd probably support it for both our machines by getting the 'family' version like I always do.

With Apple doing so well I wonder how much of this is a pipe dream vs. a real product. I'd like to see some PowerBook updates but don't expect a G5 anytime soon. PowerMac could see a speed bump but haven't heard anything about that. I think this will be a software and accessory update mainly but we'll see.
