XGrid Goodness
For some time now I've been running the Xgrid package for the Xgrid@Stanford project.
I realized after my crash that Xgrid wasn't running and I reinstalled it.
So out of boredom after getting the installation instructions I found a link from their page to a Dashboard Widget concept
I've been really interested in this concept for some time now since it was first introduced at the Mac Developers conference in 2004. So far there haven't been a lot of 'community' projects other than the Stanford one that I've found. I was really hoping maybe Distributed.net or SETI@Home might incorporate this technology into their programs but so far they haven't.
There was even an XGrid.info website that was brought up that showed a few things you could do with it, but that has since went offline.
