Tiger Gripes?
O'Reilly net has an article called
Tiger Gripes? by Chris Adamson -- Tiger's press has been so good, you'd think it was perfect. It's not.
Chris lists a few gripes but is missing one of the largest gripes I have about what is broken/not working right so far - Airport Networking.
He lists a few issues like a gripe of mine that the mail program got a complete re-skin with new crappy icons and such, and a couple others I've not personally experienced.
But he misses this big one I'm really irritated with.
You can't roam on your wireless network any more with Tiger. Or if the vagaries of wireless signals and my stationary iMac switches networks it looses its IP address, or if my wife carries her iBook downstairs she has to reset things to get it to work again.
Not something I would have expected to see in a main release considering networking wasn't one of those things they talked about re-doing.
