EVE Online Redux
A While Back I mentioned that I'd started playing EVE Online. I quit playing in about April and for the month of August I re-activated my account to play for a bit and see if I could keep it up
For the moment, I'm going to let my month run out. I still enjoy the game, but as most environments do things have changed while I was away, and without Matt playing there isn't much to do in groups. People are rather worried that everyone is out to get you, and they're usually right. This month alone a massive online scam to the tune of ISK$700,000,000,000 was just perpetrated. There have been other scams documented in the past like the ZZZZ Best one so most of the people playing are rather hard core, and have been playing since 2003.
So that doesn't leave much room for the 'newbs' like myself. Online games aren't really that much fun unless you get in the same time with a bunch of other people. Especially with EVE not really leading towards 'alts' because of the time sink in skills needed real time.
So I think I'll let it run out again. Though it's a wonderful universe and I hope that more people continue to play it.
